Ontario City Library - Ovitt Family Community Library
The City of Ontario has one of the best equipped, free to use, library based makerspaces in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful and the range of equipment is wide enough to cover elementary school makers to adults looking to make a prototype of their next great invention, to seniors looking for a new skill to learn. They do offer some events, so check the website for dates and times and what will be presented, but you can also learn a lot on your own. 3D prints are limited by time – the print must be completed before the library closes – but helpful staff will copy your job and print it for you as time permits, so you may be able to leave your print request and come back later to pick it up. You will need a free library card and a free Lightspeed card along with some basic safety training before being allowed to use the equipment.
Unique to this site: A large laser engraver/cutter with an optional roller accessory for engraving curved surfaces like glasses or bottles.
